We offer two treatment options. Our technician recommends one after the inspection. The choice depends on how far fleas have spread, the property layout, how much preparation is possible and your preference.
Space Heat Treatment
Heating equipment raises the temperature in the treated area to a level fleas and their eggs cannot survive. Heat treats the whole space and reaches carpets, furniture, bedding areas and cracks. We send preparation steps for heat-sensitive items first.
Best for: Heavier infestations, multiple rooms, or when a non-chemical approach is preferred.
Chemical Flea Treatment
A residual product is applied where fleas live, travel and lay eggs: carpets, rugs, baseboards, pet resting areas, furniture edges and cracks. An insect growth regulator helps break the flea life cycle. Vacuuming, laundering and pet treatment help it work.
Best for: Lighter or localized activity, or properties where heat treatment is not practical.

What does a flea treatment involve?
We use either space heat treatment or a chemical treatment. Chemical treatment includes a residual spray on carpets, floors and pet resting areas. An insect growth regulator is added to break the flea life cycle. More than one visit may be needed. We give you a preparation sheet beforehand.
Is the treatment safe for pets and children?
Products are applied to the places fleas live and travel, not the areas where your family spends most of its time. Treated areas are safe for people and pets once dry, when applied as directed. We will tell you how long to stay out of treated rooms.
Do I need to prepare before the treatment?
Yes. Preparation depends on the method chosen. You get a written prep checklist, and we go over each step with you before the visit. For fleas this usually includes vacuuming, laundering bedding and having pets treated separately by your vet.
What if I still see fleas after the treatment?
Some activity is normal for a short period as eggs hatch and fleas contact the treated areas. Activity usually fades over a few days, and in some cases up to a couple of weeks. If you still see steady activity after that, contact us and we will reassess and arrange a follow-up visit.
