Is it safe to have bats living in my attic?

Why can't you just remove the bats right away?
Exclusion has to be timed so flightless young are not trapped inside. We inspect first, then set a schedule that follows Alberta wildlife rules. In the meantime we can seal gaps that lead into living spaces so bats stay out of your rooms.
Do you kill the bats or use poison?
No. We do not poison or kill bats. We use one-way exclusion devices so bats leave on their own, then seal the openings so they cannot return. This humane approach deals with the way in rather than the animals.
Do you clean up the guano and replace insulation?
